-The Band of Brothers Shakespeare Company assembles to
recreate Shakespeare's genius and influence, reminding both
player and audience of the dignity in language and life. The
Company is dedicated to educational enrichment of both actor and
community through production of classic theater in the Laurel
Highlands Region.
The Band of Brothers Shakespeare Company is a non-profit
theater arts organization within the state of Pennsylvania.
Conceived in 1991 as the Stackhouse Park Players and
rechristened in 2002 as the Band of Brothers Shakespeare
Company, we have performed Shakespearean drama to the delight of
more than 50,000 spectators in the Western Pennsylvania area.
Committed to community enrichment, we have raised more than
$200,000 for Stackhouse Park, a 277 acre nature reserve in
Johnstown, Pennsylvania.
The Company is rapidly expanding, adding new venues and
performances every year. In addition to the summer performances
in the Park, we are expanding our venues to include intimate
spaces, like the Bottleworks Ethnic Arts Center, and large, more
traditional theaters, such as the Pasquerella Performing Arts
Center and the soon to be remodeled Cochran Auditorium.
This organization exists due to the work of many hands.
The Band of Brothers invite you to play a leading role. Actors
have roles, but no less important are those played by hundreds
of volunteers and thousands of spectators. We hope you will join
us for another year of magic. . . and many yet to come.
