The Ensemble - Taming of the Shrew

Dominic Berardi

Dominic Berardi (Biondello) – This is Dom's second year onstage with BOB.  He worked stage crew for two years prior to that, and was one of BOB's favorite “minions” (honest, it's a term of endearment).  Some may remember him as the kilt-wearing Sir Hugh Evans in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.  This fall, Dom will be entering his freshman year in the Nursing program at Robert Morris University.

Becky Faidley

Melanie Bremer (Cutisa) – Melanie has helped BOB behind the scenes over the past several years, however, this is her first role out front as Curtisa, one of Petruchio’s servants.  Melanie is a graduate of Ferndale High School and is starting her basic training in the National Guard this August.  BOB thanks Melanie for stepping forward and helping us complete our cast this season!

Becky Faidley

Becky Faidley (Vincentia) – Becky has been involved with BOB for a decade as an actress and board member.  After a brief hiatus from the stage, she returns as Vincentia and is thrilled to be back in the park under the stars.  She dedicates her performance to her parents, Elmer and Sally, her brother, “Lord of the Lights,” and her boyfriend, Tim.

Amanda Fisher

Amanda Fisher (Grumio) – Amanda first joined BOB for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” in 1992 and has yet to wake up!  She most recently appeared as Mistress Page in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.  In January she co-directed “Lloyd’s Prayer” with Paula Carroll.  Amanda is a BOB board member.  She works as a motorcoach tour planner and enjoys writing, photography, art museums, and listening to every kind of music she can find!

Stacy Gilbert

Stacy Gilbert (Baptista) – “Shrew” marks Stacy's tenth mainstage production with Band of Brothers.  She has performed in numerous off-season productions as well, including, “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”,  “Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead”, and Doug Meagher’s original play, “An Abridged to Nowhere Shakespeare”.  She recently made her film debut at First Commonwealth Bank's fifth annual Johnstown Film Festival in “The Great Chickentown Robbery”, written and directed by BOB alumnus Clair Eash, Jr.  Stacy dedicates her performance to Brad and La for their many years of making the magic.  Hugs and kisses to Alexander, Isaac, and Kendall!

Stephanie Kazamek

Stephanie Kazamek (The Merchant) – Stephanie makes her BOB debut and onstage debut this summer.  She has worked stage crew with Mountain Playhouse in such productions as “Run for Your Wife”, “Guys and Dolls”, and “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”.  (Although she's a pro behind the scenes, Stephanie loves taking advantage of any opportunity to play dress-up!)  By the way, it was two years ago in this very place that she began dating her handsome boyfriend, Erik.

John Kurchak

John Kurchak (Tranio) – John has been a part of BOB “since before I could form the syllables that make these words so magical.”  He has supported BOB for many years as a stagehand and sound assistant (yeah, the other John Kurchak is his dad).  We are so happy he's “come across the creek”, as we like to say.  John is proud to be a part of this company and hopes to enjoy Shakespeare with BOB for many years to come.

Dara Leslie

Dara Leslie (Katherina) – Dara is thrilled to be a Band of Brothers Newbie! “Shrew’ marks her return to the stage after a 10 year hiatus. Dara did a ton of acting in a previous life, but has since focused more on family and professional growth. Favorite past roles have been: Ado Annie – Oklahoma; Martha – Secret Garden, Hodel – Fiddler on the Roof, & Shelby, Steel Magnolias.  “Kate” has been on the bucket list since college and she is thrilled to make her BOB debut with such a fantastic role!

Tony Malvoisin

Tony Malvoisin (Hortensio) – This is Tony's fourth show in Stackhouse.  He first appeared here as Othello, and most recently played the dashing Master Ford in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.  He also has performed in local comedic plays, UPJ Theater, and other local music theater - all this while working full time as an air traffic controller at the Johnstown Airport.  He would like to say hello to his friends and family, especially to his beautiful children, Tony and Alyssa.

Paul Mastovich

Nick Mastovich (Priest/Servant) – Nick is the son of veteran BOB actor, Paul Mastovich, so it’s only natural that he found his way across the creek.  Nick is performing the role of the priest and doubling as one of Petruchio’s servants.  BOB welcomes Nick to the “other side”!

Paul Mastovich

Paul Mastovich (Gremio) – This year Paul places a bookend on his first 20 years of BOB.  He was in the very first show here in the park, the infamous “Scottish Play” where he played Macbeth.  (Oh rats, now we have to run round the 'kirk counterclockwise!)  Paul has appeared in several BOB productions outside of Stackhouse, including being cast as a curiously tall Pablo Picasso in “Picasso at the Lapin Agile”.  Once again, as he does every year, he dedicates his performance to his lovely wife, Sue and his wonderful boys, Nick and Noah.

Doug Meagher

Doug Meagher (Petruchio) – This is Doug's ninth performance in Stackhouse Park with BOB.  He first appeared here in 1996 when he was introduced to the company by his friend, Lynn.  Doug has been called many things in his life, paramedic, morning radio DJ, sales person and comedian.  This year he adds one more title to his resume - Shrew Tamer!  Quoth Doug, “Stackhouse Park, Shakespeare and friends – there's no better way to spend a summer.”

Robb Miller

Robb Miller (Lucentio) – Robb is excited to be performing with Band of Brothers for the first time this summer.  He also works with the UPJ Theater, where he recently appeared in “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “A Midsummer Night's Dream”.  Robb would like to thank his friends and family for their support.  “Thanks also to Tony and Lindsey for introducing me to this great group of people!”

Candice Mishler

Candice Mishler (Curtis/Tailor) – Candice is very happy and excited to be participating in her first BOB production.  Before joining the BOB company, Candice performed in “The History of Women” and the “Santaland Diaries”.  She would like to thank her husband, Chris, for his support (and assistance with learning her lines)!

Emma Noonan

Emma Noonan (Bianca) – Emma is “super stoked” to be playing Bianca in her second year onstage with BOB.  She debuted in 2009 as Pistol in “The Merry Wives of Windsor”.  She worked stage crew for two years prior to that before stepping “across the creek”.  Emma also participated in Theater Club at Westmont Hilltop High School for four years.  She plans to study Art History in the fall at Penn State University-Altoona.
