The Band of
Brothers Shakespeare Company is
"a muse of fire!"
We are accomplishing goal after goal and sticking closely to our mission
statement. The credit goes to the actors, the board of directors, the
director and producer, the sound and lighting people, the many
volunteers, but also to you. "We few, we happy few, we Band of
Brothers..." Thank you.
This past year, 2006, the Band sponsored a trip to Stratford, Ontario Shakespeare Festival for our actors and members. Our summer production of Two Gents was a tremendous success and was featured on PCN for the first time. Picasso at the Lapine Agile premiered at the Pasquerilla Arts Center to wonderful and appreciative crowds, as we continue to expand venues across our Laurel Mountain. The Summer Shakespeare Institute for Children ignited many young thespians to iambic pentameter, stage combat, Elizabethan dancing and singing. So 2007 is full of promised joy. This summer BOB will present Othello, the Moor of Venice. After two seasons of Shakespeare's comedy, this gripping voyage into human nature will challenge actor and audience's psyche. We remind all that auditions are May 15th. BOB is planning another Summer Institute for Children (July) and Adult Workshop (April). May we plan a sojourn to the Folger, Washington D.C. and the Shakespeare Theatre to see Titus Andronicus and the Tempest. Please join us! Please fill in the membership application. We pledge our 2007 will be Bardilicious! Bradford, Laura & The Board of BOB
